Connecticut's open space funding is in jeopardy! Governor Rell and legislative leaders have not yet agreed on a package of bond funding for the next two years. But we still have a chance to influence their decision. Please send Governor Rell and your state legislators a message asking them to safeguard Connecticut's open space legacy by providing $10 million in bond funding for the Recreation and Natural Heritage Trust program and for the Open Space and Watershed Lands Matching Grants program—a total of $20 million for these key programs for each of the next two years.
