What's At Stake?

Tell Congress to Act on Global Warming NOW!

Global warming is among the greatest threats to birds, other wildlife, and people ever experienced by humanity. We still have the power to affect how serious its consequences will be, but we must act now! There is conclusive scientific evidence that the warming of our oceans and atmosphere is largely man-made and already having profound effects on birds, broader biodiversity, wildlife habitat, and ecosystems. Should global warming proceed at projected rates, there is increasing consensus that there will be catastrophic impacts on species diversity and distributions, the quality and extent of wildlife habitat, and the structure and functioning of ecosystems worldwide with dire ramifications for human health, wellbeing, and quality of life.
