The same waters that transport more than 60% of America's corn and soybeans are home to 25% of North America's fish species and are globally important as a flyway for 60% of North America's bird species. However, both the river transportation system and the river ecosystem are deteriorating. New legislation in Congress would integrate restoration of the river's important habitats with modernization of the navigation system. Ask your Senators to support this critical program.
