House Agrees to Fund Florida Forever, Still Holding Out on the Everglades

Late Thursday House leaders agreed to the Senate budget position on Florida Forever allowing $300 million worth of Florida Forever bonds to be sold in 2008-09. The funds will buy conservation lands, protect water resources and make grants for parks and open space.

The House has not yet accepted the Senate position on the Everglades. Please take moment now to send a note to your elected House Representative encouraging them to fund the Everglades.
